New Coffey Residency Fellows Announced

Since 2015, the Coffey Residency in Book Arts has provided residents the opportunity to use the collections in SASC as inspiration for new creative work. Since the residency wasn’t possible last year, we are pleased to welcome Denise Bookwalter and Paul Shortt as our resident artists for 2021.

Each artist will spend one week doing research at the Special and Area Studies Collections in Fall of 2021. Upon completion of their artist’s book project, each artist will provide a public presentation and a workshop to be held at the University of Florida in the Spring 2022 semester. Copies of their books will be deposited in the Book Arts Collection.
